Functional Medicine teaches that an imbalance in the immune system, while often due to a genetic disposition, will generally be caused in the presence of the following: the regular consumption of a bad or proinflammatory diet; food allergies and intolerances; microbial infections; hormonal imbalances; nutritional insufficiencies; toxic metals and xenobiotic exposure.

This workshop will focus on chronic inflammation, systemic influences on the immune system, and the consequent dysfunction that may ensue. This workshop on Fuctional Immunology will provide you an in-depth understanding of underlying immune mechanisms and help you to develop effective treatment options & interventions even when a conventional diagnosis is not possible.

Dr Lenny Da Costa
Dr Lenny Da Costa a consultant geriatrician, preventive cardiologist and an functional medicine specialist did his basic MBBS from The Goa Medical College and completed his specialization in Geriatric Medicine from the M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. He has further undergone training in the practice of Anti-aging and Preventive Cardiology. He is certified by the International Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology USA as a FCMT.
